Hello everyone,

I have just been asked to pass this message on to you all from Rachel.

Hello all, on behalf of the district, and as circuit superintendent, I would like to offer a huge thank you for all you did to ensure the practical arrangements of synod went well at the weekend. A big thank you to Central Hall for hosting, to everyone who helped or took part on the day, and to those who put so so much time in before the day to ensure it went well. The District have asked me to thank you as well. Still being new(ish), it was brilliant to see the circuit come together to help out for such a big event, and there are just so many people to thank that I daren't name you all (in fear of missing out someone)., but you all know who you are. So thank you thank you thank you. Please do pass on thanks to those in your churches who helped and in your weekly notices. Many thanks Rachel

Saturday, 9th June

4, A small number from the Circuit attended the Holy Habits launch event at Trinity Methodist Church, Codsall.

Rev Andrew Roberts & Rev Deborah Humphries led our time together and spoke of the Holy Habits resource as being rooted in Scripture (Acts 2:42-47), and encouraging enthusiastic spiritual renewal.

Reflecting on the words of James Dunn, Andrew said: "Whenever we see the Spirit of God renewing the people of God... we see the Acts 2 picture re-emerging."

The resource is intended to move us beyond our usual routines, and towards a focus on the whole of our Christian lives - "it is godly character that we are seeking to form through the Holy Habits."

Deborah took the opportunity to share a number of stories. She spoke of the Holy Habits resource as having encouraged deep discipleship, and as bringing new life to both congregations and communities.

Please take your time to consider whether you could become part of small group who will be intentional, prayerful and enthusiastic as they explore how the Holy Habits can be encouraged within our Circuit?

The ten Holy Habits: Eating Together - Prayer - Making More Disciples - Gladness and Generosity - Breaking of Bread - Service - Fellowship - Worship - Biblical Teaching - Sharing Resources.

6, On Saturday the 12th May, Coalpool Methodist Church will be having a coffee morning and mini sale, starting at 11am. Refreshments will also be on sale. Again please see attached poster for more details..
