"Save the date" - Sunday 3rd March 2019, 10:30am
The president of conference, Revd Michaela Youngson is coming to preach in our circuit as part of the official visit to the District. We have been asked to hold this as a circuit service, and it will be advertised around the District as such. Therefore, other than Darlaston who have already made Church anniversary plans, there will be no other services on that morning in the circuit. You are all invited to come and hear Michaela at Central Hall at 10:30am, and please encourage others to come along, as this is a rare opportunity to hear the president and share worship together.
As many of you know, parking at Central Hall itself is limited but there is ample parking around the church, and it would be encouraged for people to travel together where possible. if anyone does require a disabled space reserving at Central Hall please contact Cherish in the circuit office ASAP.
Many Thanks
Rachel

Invitation to Holocaust Memorial Day

We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to our annual Holocaust Memorial Day event, which will be held at St Paul's Church on Thursday 24th January 2019, beginning at 6.00pm.
Holocaust Memorial Day is observed every year on the day that the Auschwitz concentration camp was liberated by Allied Troops.  It is an opportunity to commemorate all victims of genocide, to raise awareness of the dangers of predujice and hatred, and to commit ourselves to work toward unity and cohesion within our own community.
This year, St Paul's Church in partnership with Walsall Council, NashDom and Black Country Innovate are hosting a Holocaust Memorial Day evening that will explore Porajmos, the Roma Holocaust of World War Two.
Walsall has a large and vibrant Roma community, and we feel it is important to acknowledge and commemorate all that they suffered during the Second World War.  The evening will also be an opportunity to explore Roma culture and food, and to welcome the Roma community to Walsall.
We will be joined by representatives from the Jewish and Roma Communities, and our special guest speaker will be Petr Torak, MBE.
It would be wonderful if you could join us to mark this important event and join us as we say, 'Never Again'.
If you would like to join us, please could you RSVP for your free ticket?  (See link below)
