Church Notices

Hello everyone, latest notices through The Circuit Office
Walsall at War, a 100 years Multimedia Exhibition
On Saturday 10th of November from 11.00am to 3.00pm, St Paul's Church Walsall will be holding a multimedia exhibit to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day. Entitled Walsall at War, we will have a collection of photographs of people from Walsall that served in the First World War and from subsequent conflicts.  We will also have a speaker, Dr Izzy Mohammed, who specialises in the Muslim contribution to World War One.  In addition, there will be films and information on the Commonwealth's wartime contrubitions.  We will also have a collection of medals on display and there will be an opportunity for guests to bring medals along and have someone tell them a little more about their history.  We will also have a space recounting the history of the Royal Flying Corp of WW1 and we will feature Walsall's flying aces from the period! The exhibition will open with a short vigil led by some of our community's faith leaders.
There will be refreshments and food available.
We hope that this exhibition will reflect the diversity of Walsall.  Walsall's community is made up of diverse cultural and religious groups and we would like to celebrate the contribution that each of these groups have made to our heritage and history.
Please do come along if you can!
If you have a photograph that you would like to contribute before the exhibition, or on the day itself, then you would be most welcome!
