The Short Heath Singers will be presenting a concert at Aldridge and we want you to be there (otherwise we will have wasted our time!)
Why?
a) Because we love singing!
b) Because we want to raise funds for a worthwhile cause!
What is the cause?
Zarach…….never heard of them!?
Neither had we until recently but their subline states “the children’s bed charity”
Approximately 900,000 (yes 900,000) children in the UK do not sleep in a proper bed every night. A deputy head teacher in Leeds came across this problem via one of her students who was sleeping on a cushion that the dog had used and not only did he not sleep well but was covered in lice! She decided something had to be done. So she set up this charity and got a bed manufacturer on side. They now provide single beds, two sets of bedding and a food bank type package where they can.
What will the concert cost!
Whatever you can afford – It is so much easier to ask for donations than try to sell tickets at the right price!
