WHO WE ARE

MISSION STATEMENT

MISSION STATEMENT

The Walsall Methodist Circuit commits itself to working out the calling of the Methodist Church in its local context. That is to respond to the gospel of God’s love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission. The Circuit hopes to encourage and equip its membership to respond to the following areas of discipleship:

Worship

Increase the awareness of God’s presence and celebrate God’s love.

Learning and Caring

Help people to grow and learn as Christians, through mutual support and care.

Service

Be a good neighbour to people in need and challenge injustice

Evangelism

Make more followers of Jesus Christ

This will involve a continual process of reflection and action as the Circuit, and its local churches, recognise great work that is ongoing, discover new opportunities and honestly consider what needs to be ‘laid down’.

Responding to the calling of the Methodist Church will enable the Walsall Methodist Circuit to become an effective missional community, and to find its place within the Connexion by discovering a sense of belonging and common purpose. This is the work of the whole Circuit with every local church and its members encouraged to engage prayerfully with our calling and vision. As we journey together, we remain open to the transforming love of God through Jesus Christ, and attentive to work of the Holy Spirit in the world today.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

“And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:2
